Halloween in Katy

This year we decided to spend Halloween visiting Katy. It was a fun weekend to visit Jay and Dee and our sweet niece and nephew, and Mom and Dad as well. Chris stayed through the weekend, and then left us in Katy while he went to Lafy to replace the tile on our tub surround.

Halloween was celebrated all day long, of course, with church in the morning, gumbo cookin' in the afternoon, and trick or treating in the evening. Fun was had by all! We missed out on carving a jack o lantern this year, but Dee had some cute lil pumpkins that she let the boys decorate with markers, and that just made their day.
Our little wookie.

Its official, Chris and I are Star Wars nerds, and our kids are following in our footsteps. The boys really get into Star Wars Clone Wars, and they love battling against Daddy with their light sabers.

C3PO, a baby wookie, and Darth Vader

We enjoyed hanging out with Mom and Dad for the rest of the week. Their big treat for the boys was Chuck E Cheese. Dad and I had fun playing some games too! Its definitely the place to go when kids are in school and no parties are going on.

Did any of you guys have a rubber band gun when you were kids? I remember having one. My grandparents got some for the boys and they have had a blast shooting all kinds of things. Brings back lots of childhood memories.

Good surprise. I checked last night and figured there would be no post this week. Nan-E mentioned it to me in an e-mail. Love the pics. You did get some good ones of us at Chuck E Cheese. Cara and I really enjoyed it all. Glad you got to have a little fun there too.
