This past Monday 3 members of the Harlem Globetrotters visited Galena: Meadowlark Lemon, Tyrone "Hollywood" Brown, and Les "Pee Wee" Harrison. You can see Pee Wee directly behind Meadowlark Lemon, and Hollywood on the right. We were very excited to meet them. We got to see them at a basketball assembly at the school, and then visit with them at a meet and greet soup dinner that evening. It was a very fun time, and we enjoyed hearing these guys share...and perform. Can you believe they came all the way to Galena?!
They had luggage problems, and their uniforms didn't make it to Galena. Aah, the joys of traveling.
