Merry Christmas

Christmas Eve we had Jason and Kim and the family over for dinner, and then we all went to the Christmas Eve service at church. We had some really yummy pork loin, mashed potatoes (grown in Galena), and fresh salad and broccoli. This year the kids sang 2 songs they'd learned in Sunday School, and our kids were really excited to be singing in front of everyone.  I forgot my camera for the service, but Kim was able to take some video on her phone. I'll try to send it out later.

Christmas morning we opened presents together, then had brunch while we tried to Skype most of the family.  One fun and unexpected Christmas gift was warmer weather!  We all went outside for a while to enjoy the warmer temperatures.  Its been warm since Christmas, and we've been catching up on our outside activities since December before Christmas was so cold (-40).  Yesterday our high was 30 ABOVE! So crazy.  Anywho, here's some pics from Christmas morning.

I cooked manicotti for lunch, another excellent dish, and the guys spent some time outside while I was cooking and Cara was napping. This one below is Clint.  We have all been consistently needing an afternoon nap with later nights and more activity during the holiday season. Clint must have definitely needed a nap. He's all dressed for his sno-go ride, but Preston got to go first.  Oh, and he's got one of his new swords.  He plopped down in the snow to wait and didn't move until Chris pulled up on  the sno-go and tapped him to wake him up for his ride.

Christmas day evening, we went to a party at our friends, Keith and Tabitha's.  Everyone brought a Christmas dish to share, and then we played some games after.  It was great fun, and a nice ending to a special day.  Hope you all had a Merry Christmas too!
