Boys n Tools

This past weekend Chris found the time to build a doghouse for Sam and Maggie. He'd had the idea in his mind since he realized he had enough left over wood from previous projects to complete the project without a trip to "the man store" (AKA Lowe's). Preston had really been looking forward to it ever since Chris mentioned it a couple of weeks ago. I took pictures throughout the building time so that you could enjoy the process and see all who were involved.

Preston adding his own piece of wood next to the one's he and Daddy laid.

Sam keeping a watchful eye.

P hammering with Daddy's guidance.

Clint-a-roo figured out how much fun it is to push the Tonka all over the yard.

P trying to turn the jigsaw on-don't worry. It is unplugged. (Chris isn't here for clarification, but P tells me this one is a jigsaw.)

Clint surprised me and mimicked everything he saw the bigger boys doing! Too cute!

He also tasted all of the tools.

I haven't seen Sam sleep in it yet, but I know these two will enjoy it.

Shingles going on.

I'm not sure why, but Preston was especially excited to help Chris paint.

Ta-Da! Chris thinks it looks like a little Cajun house! haha!

Very cool blog post. The picture of Clint and the screwdriver is great. They should consider a mailbox, house number or rocking chair for the porch.

This is my 4th try to get this to post. This is just a great blog. I really enjoyed getting to share in the building of the dog house. The boys both seemed to enjoy it in their own way. Preston is really a good helper. Your pics were just great.
