2+1= 3

I'll share our most exciting news first: baby #3 is on the way! The pic above is how most people found out...some needed further explanation. We are VERY excited about meeting our new baby in April, and we've received lots of requests for a blond headed little girl this time...hahaha. Of course we're just praying for a happy healthy baby. I've been feeling very good this time around. I'm past all the morning sickness and icky-ness, just still feeling tired and lazy. So, that's a small explanation for why this post has been delayed. When nap time comes, all I'm motivated to do is sleep, veg, or read, which leaves no time for me to be productive.

In other news, awhile back Chris was in an 8 car pile up in Baton Rouge. He isn't hurt, but his truck sure is. He was taking his 1 week course in New Orleans for this pilot study he got into. Its 5 weeks on the New Orleans campus spread out over 2 semesters. And then comes Graduation!!! So he was taking his first week and traveling back to Baton Rouge every night to sleep at his grandparents house. It is a messy situation because the vehicle that caused the accident fled the scene and had no plates. Hopefully, in another week or two they'll have it all sorted out. Its just moving slowly.

Result of monkey see, monkey do. We now have 2 monkeys in the family.

We went to the zoo twice this month. Its so nice to have the whole place pretty much to ourselves now that the busy summer is over and kids are back in school. The boys love going there. They were watching the train go by as they were climbing all over the fire truck.

This is Mommy trying to be creative when its raining outside AGAIN! We called it a movie party and ate pop tarts while watching Walle.

And this is what we do when its STILL raining, but without the thunder and lightening.

The boys have been pretty fun lately. They're getting along pretty well and keeping each other entertained, a major plus for me! In the past few months we've noticed Preston is finally growing out of his crazy toddler days. He's into things a little less, and doesn't quite go 100 miles an hour all the time. He's definitely still capable of this, but its not every single day. I'm proud to say we can finally attend story time at the library. I've tried off and on since P was 18 months, but he never did well. Just think climbing things, pulling things off bulletin boards, and running around while the other kids sat and listened. Now he enjoys the songs, books, and finger plays...and can actually give his full attention the whole time. Clint enjoys going too, but he gets to stay strapped in the stroller for now.

Clint is talking and singing and counting. His vocabulary has just exploded, again. Things I hear all day right now: "Look Mommy look" "Watch Mommy watch" "I'm hungy" "Where's Pesten?" "Let's go bye-bye Mommy". His little personality is really starting to shine. He's slow to warm up to strangers, but crazy with us at home. He's been showing a little attitude lately, but he's learning that he doesn't get too many rewards with it. We moved Preston to the top bunk, and he's loving it. Not one night have we had a problem with him. Clint will move out of the crib and into the bottom bunk maybe around Christmas time or right after.

We're getting very excited about Fall. P wants to go to a football game sometime, and we're also looking forward to Halloween. We've got our costumes picked out, but you'll have to wait and see when the event comes.

We finally finished everything on the Community Center and also had our Grand Opening. It is so nice to be done. Fall time is also a fun time at church as everyone is finished vacationing and getting back into their regular routine. We've launched our small groups for the fall and are looking forward to a Halloween outreach. Each group is putting on a mini-festival in their neighborhood in hopes of building relationships with neighborhood families and sharing information about the church. So we'll get to help put on a festival and go trick or treating, how exciting!
