Girl road trip

Cara and I took our first girlie road trip. We went to East Texas for a short overnight trip. The agenda: 2 baby showers and introduce Cara to some of the great-grands. Cara did alright with her traveling. She's not the biggest fan of the car seat, but it wasn't too bad. Chris offered to watch the boys, which was wonderful. They tried to plan a fishing trip, but bad weather canceled those plans.
Cara sleeping on Monica (and Kendall) at our first shower of the day. Monica is expecting soon, and we are all anxious to meet the baby girl. I was so glad to see her and visit for a while.

We also made it to Kimbra's shower. We haven't seen each other in a really long time, so it was a real treat to be able to go to the shower. She's expecting a baby boy, Kaleb, soon.
Cara was also glad to meet Nonna and Papa on this trip. It was a very short visit, but definitely worth the effort.

Very cool trip. Having an actual baby at a baby shower probably made you very popular.
