A little of this...a little of that

 I didn't get around to doing the boys' science experiment with them one day, so the next morning right after breakfast Chris did it with them....even better.  Chris has been doing most of the experiments with the boys this year.  They really enjoy it.  They are doing experiments with water right now, and this day they made a water wheel.   They used a cut up egg carton as the scoops/buckets, paper plates for the sides, rulers, spools, and a dowel rod. 

 Cara likes to sneak a taste of whatever I'm having.  She's recently graduated from her highchair to a regular chair, and now she often sneaks some of my drink.  This one happened to be coffee.  She thinks its just hilarious when she tastes my coffee, and hopes she gets a reaction out of me.

 Preston gladly accepted this hand me down costume from Daniel a couple of weeks ago.  Looks like he's a Three Musketeer.  This particular day, he was just dying to keep it on during school.  Why not?

 Enjoying a snowy day!

 All my kids like to look at books and read, and it is a wonderful hobby to have when Mom is busy doing school in the mornings.  Cara does lots of things to occupy her time during school, but this is my favorite.  She will plop down on her pillows near the bookshelf and browse our books.  No mischief, no mess, and no noise.

 And we still have our bean box.  Its been on the blog before.  We get this out sometimes and its always sure to entertain for a while.  Clint is demonstrating how its so hard to stay out of the box, although its barely big enough for one kid to occupy at a time.
