To Texas we will go...

So while Chris went back to Galena to tear out and begin rebuilding the kids and I went south to be with family. We always fly into Houston so we visited my parents first.

Getting rambunctious while waiting for our delayed plane.

Building with Legos. I'll just hit some of the high lights of our time in the south. I can assure you we had plenty of good distractions to help us get through being away from home and Chris.

Perfect picture of jet lag
We got to visit the Bluebell creamery. Such a wonderful way to spend a day. We got a tour seeing how its made and at the end of the tour we each got to choose our own flavor of ice cream and enjoy it in a fun ice cream parlor.
We visited Nonna and Papa and of course had fun in the back yard playing and helping Papa pick some veggies.

So cool that we got to see so many family and friends. We went to Kendall's birthday party and enjoyed visiting with the Howell's and Hale's. Cara latched onto Aunt Pam and wanted to play with her the most. That's Kendall and Pam in the pic with Cara.

All the great grands digging potatoes with Papa. My kids never tire of harvesting the garden. We didn't get to spend time in our garden in Galena this year but it was great to help in Papa's. Austin, P, and Clint have the straw hats on like Papa.

From East Texas we rode with Jon down to Lafayette to visit Chris' parents.
