Flat Stanley came to visit us all the way from Norman, OK. Preston's friend, Maddox sent him to us for a couple of weeks. He didn't bring any snow gear so Preston made him some.
We took Stanley along on some day to day outings and on some pretty fun adventures. Preston had a blast showing him around Galena.
Preston brought Stanley to the book fair. If you know any small kids, look for a Flat Stanley book for them to read. They are pretty fun.
Flat Stanley and the boys were hopeful they'd get to go on a sno go adventure by themselves, but......
Kids get to ride in the wood sled.
We don't own any ice skates, but that doesn't stop us from skating....boot skating. Another first time adventure for Stanley.
Stanley even helped Preston with his chores, well...sort of.
Stanley enjoyed the Winter Family Fun night. We listened to local musicians, danced, and checked out all the local goods for sale like furs and beaded jewelry.
Stanley wanted everyone back home to see the amount of daylight at 10 AM and the temp of the morning. If you can't see it, it reads -35 F.
Preston took Stanley out on the frozen Yukon River. A snow storm was blowing in making it difficult to see the trees on the opposite side.
Stanley was with us when we picked out our Christmas tree. He also enjoyed decorating it.
Stanley was mailed back to OK shortly after the Christmas holidays. We sent along a few souvenirs. One was a moose's tooth. Chris is pretty sure the moose had been a wolf kill. He grabbed a few teeth from it. The second souvenir was a black bear claw. The bear came into the Bible camp one time too many at Kokrine Hills last summer. The meat was donated to us and provided what we needed to make lots of delicious breakfast sausage.

Cute. Stanley got to see lots of things. Nice pictures. Love to see that river, frozen or not.
