Miss Alaska

Miss Alaska 2014, at our house, in Galena, and she's here to talk with teens, help out in any way, and visit with us in some down time. Oh, and she took some time to let Cara try on her crown. Not something I imagined might happen in Galena, but so much fun!!!

Her name is Michelle and she also was awarded Miss Congeniality. We were delighted to get to know her. She was very down to earth, a godly lady, and answered all our silly questions about what really goes down at those pageants. 

She explained to Cara how you use pins to keep the crown in place, and got it all situated for her. 

So nice!  Cara really loved it. She also had fun working a puzzle with Michelle. I'm sure she'll treasure these photos for a long time.
