Even though we can experience some pretty severe weather, last year we saw -65, this winter has proved to be pretty mild. We've had lots of great days to be outside and some of them were just gorgeous.
I wish this picture actually looked like what we saw out our kitchen window. The sunset was more beautiful than the picture shows, but you get the idea.
We walk across this open space to get to the school a few times a week for after school activities or just to enjoy the playground.
These birds are Pine Grosbeaks. The males are red and the females are green. We've also had a lot of Black capped Chickadees and Redpoles. It has been so wonderful to have a mild winter.
