Labor Day

Hello to all of you!

Hope you had an enjoyable Labor Day. We did too. Sunday after church we loaded up and went to visit Jay and Danielle in Houston. Let me back up a minute though. Church was great on Sunday. Even with the holiday, we were still up in numbers. We had several visitors, and we did the Lord's supper. We had a great time in Houston too. Chris was off from school on Monday so we were able to travel. We all went swimming Sunday night. Preston drank a lot of water, but he had fun. Then Monday we went to the zoo, ate some yummy mexican food, and checked out the Holocaust Museum. After that we were all pretty tired so we headed back to the apartment. The guys cooked dinner while we played with Preston. We played some nasty ka-nasty while we were there, and I think the guys won both times. (That definately means we're up for a rematch soon). Tuesday we got up and drove home. We stopped by the house to eat lunch and then went straight to the hospital to meet Logan Charles Lewis. Our friends Gabe and Rebecca had their little boy on Labor Day. Ahhahhaa...labor day. They got on the news for that. Mom and baby are home now and happy and healthy. Congratulations guys!

Preston is doing well. He's still rolling over. He tries really hard to crawl, but its mostly a serious wiggle that gets him moving about a foot. He's getting better at sitting without help. He gets in trouble when he's sitting and sees something exciting because that usually makes him topple over. He thinks his Aunt Dee is very funny. The whole time we were in Houston she had him laughing. He really likes the phone, tv control, anything with a light on it. He likes to try to eat the webcam when we're talking to someone. Last night while I was giving him a bath, he figured out how to roll to his side and get the water in his face and drink some of it. He thought that was really funny. Today he is wearing his Batman outfit from his Uncle Jon. It even has a cape on it...very cool. I need to get some pics of him wearing it.

Jay and Danielle's wedding is approaching quickly. Woo-hoo!
Mom and Dad are flying home now. They should arrive in Lafayette around 9 tonight.

Sunday is CWOW's birthday...4 years already. We're having church at the school, like usual. Then we're moving out to the property for lunch (BBQ) and games. I think we have 4 people getting baptized too. They'll be the first ones to be baptized on the new property. Everyone is invited, so if you are in town come on over.

Well, Preston is fussing telling me its time for a nap, so I better run.

Love
Shell and Chris
