Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!

Hope you've had a good one. We have had a really good day. (Chris might say otherwise as he is diligently working on his Hebrew homework that is due tomorrow!) hahaha. We have had a good day though. The school cafeteria was full this morning, which is always exciting. Chris' grandparents are in town for the weekend, and his Aunt Laura and Uncle John and cousins from Baton Rouge came to CWOW this morning. It was nice to have everyone together at church, and it really meant a lot to Chris. My parents were even there....keep reading if you didn't know about them coming home. After church we went to Mike and Barb's for lunch. The feastwas delicious, and we enjoyed visiting with everyone.

I guess I should back up a little and tell what else has been going on. Preston went for his 12 month check up, and he weighs almost 20 lbs. and is 30 " tall. He got 2 shots, one in each arm, and took them "like a man." Nothing else to really say about that. He is healthy and thriving, but we didn't need to see the doc to know that. Thursday we found out that my parents would be coming back to the States on Saturday, a lovely Easter surprise. They were only gone for 3 weeks. My dad was supposed to be relocated to the United Arab Emirates, but he turned down the disappointing offer and told them he'd rather work in the States. He's hoping to hear about where he'll be working on Monday.....tomorrow. We are VERY excited that they are home again, and this time for good. Friday Jay and Danielle came to town and we visited with them that evening...and played a little Ca-Nasty. Danielle and I had a great game. Jay and Chris......well, maybe we should just move on to the next topic....

Saturday Chris and I had planned to take Preston to the park to play, but the weather turned very cold! So, we just hung out at the house and then went to visit with Maw Maw and Paw Paw Kopp at Mike and Barb's. Preston was invited to an Easter Egg hunt (thanks Causey!), but my parents came in early so we picked them up and brought them home. That evening we all went to eat dinner(Mom, Dad, Me, Chris, Preston, Jay, Danielle, Jon, and Rachael), but Mom and Dad couldn't stay up late because of their travels so we enjoyed catching up together, but kept it short.

Preston is doing well. All the consistency with correction is beginning to pay off. I can give a big sigh or relief for that. He's doesn't listen all of the time, but most of the time. He's a very good boy, just very busy and curious! I think he's gonna have a good sense of humor. He has learned that laughing is a social thing, so when he hears anyone laugh he will stop what he's doing and give a silly chuckle before going back to playing. He still loves his books. We read right before bed, and right now his favorite is his animal book. He's pretty much running. In fact, I can't think of the last time that I saw him walk slowly besides his first steps that he took 3 months ago! He's on the go if he is awake. He is still very social and loves people. I'm hoping to have his 1 year portrait taken this week, and a family portrait, if I can keep him without any huge bruises, bumps, or scrapes in any real noticeable place!
