A whirlwind weekend

One of our weekends int he South was spent doing a mad-dash traveling spree. We visited as many people as we could in a weekend in 2 states. Yep, it was pretty insane. We're so glad we did it though. We visited Great Grandparents in East Texas. The kids were glad to play at Nonna and Papa's house and visit with them. Then we headed to Shreveport to visit our dear friends Chris and Brandy. We went to the church they attend where I got to speak with the ladies there about living and doing ministry in Galena, and Chris was able to preach. We received so many encouraging words and kind thoughts. Then we had a hurried lunch with more friends, Adam and Keitra Beach, and then back on the road to Pineville, La for one last stop. We visited lots of friends from the Gathering Place Church, had a wonderful spread of South Louisiana dishes, and headed back to Katy, Tx. The kids were fantastic travelers, and I am not exaggerating.

A favorite at Nonna and Papa's

We were delighted to make Papa's birthday celebration.

And this is what the kids did every time we got in the car. What awesome kids we have.
