Easter

On Good Friday, Kid's Club, which usually meets in the school gym, met at church for a special session celebrating Easter.  Chris shared the story of Christ using the Resurrection Eggs, and then we had some singing, an egg hunt, and snacks.  The kids were really into the message, and all wanted to have a chance to open an egg to find out the next part of the story.

These sugar cookies were absolutely delicious, and they were really cute too!

Here's the kiddos dressed for church.
Sunday was a great day at church.  All the seats were full and we enjoyed some wonderful fellowship and lunch afterwards.  The resurrection story is always such an important message to hear.  I'm so thankful the kids understood more of it this year.  That evening we went to the Community Easter Egg Hunt at GILA (Galena Interior Learning Academy).  The little kids got a 10 minute head start.  Preston was a serious egg hunter racking up the most eggs I saw anyone find.  I stuck with Cara, Chris hung with Clint, and Preston wondered off on his own.  Does that really surprise you? It took us a while to locate him when we were done, and he was still going, searching for the teenagers eggs!

Inside the eggs were tickets that you could redeem for prizes and a little chocolate here and there.  The kids were super excited about choosing some prizes, and they had like 426 tickets to use.  Yes, Chris had to count them all!

It seems mildly humorous to see an egg hunt in snow.

Next year get all white eggs.
